Service Change

New routes

New Route 72 will provide service between the U-District, Lake City, and Shoreline South Station, replacing service for deleted Route 372. Additional Route 72 trips will be provided by the voter-approved Seattle Transit Measure.

New Route 77 is a new east–west route, connected with Route 75. It will provide service between Bitter Lake, Pinehurst Station, Lake City, Roosevelt Station and U-District Station. Additional trips will be provided as part of the voter-approved Seattle Transit Measure.

New Route 164 will provide service between Des Moines, Kent, and Auburn, replacing some of the deleted Route 165.

New Route 166 will provide peak-frequent service between Burien and Kent Des Moines Station, replacing some of the deleted Route 165.

New Route 215 will provide service between Mercer Island, Eastgate, Issaquah Highlands, Snoqualmie, and North Bend. This will replace service of deleted Route 208.

New Route 220 will provide service between Eastgate Park & Ride, Lake Hills, and Bellevue Transit Center. This will provide replacement service for part of the deleted Route 271 between Eastgate and downtown Bellevue.

Route 111 will no longer serve Downtown Seattle or the Lake Kathleen neighborhood and will be converted into an all-day, all-week route, starting and ending at South Bellevue Station.

Route 121 will be partially restored with eight new morning and afternoon/evening peak trips and service between Burien and Downtown Seattle.

Route 203 will be revised in Issaquah to operate on 12th Avenue NW, Lake Drive, and 10th Avenue NW and will no longer stop at 11th Avenue NW on NW Sammamish Road.

Route 218 will be revised to start and end at Mercer Island Station and will no longer serve Downtown Seattle. Connections to Sound Transit Link 2 Line will provide alternate service to Downtown Seattle.

Route 240 to Renton will move from Bay 1 to Bay 9 at Bellevue Transit Center.

Route 249 will be revised to serve Medina, Hunts Point and Clyde Hill instead of using Bellevue Way. This change will provide service for part of the deleted Route 271.

Route 256 stop locations will be adjusted along 2nd Avenue and 4th Avenue in Downtown Seattle.

Route 269 will be extended to Mercer Island Station from Issaquah Highlands using I-90. Weekday peak period frequency will improve to every 15 minutes. New weekend service will be added. Route 269 will no longer provide service between Issaquah Highlands and Issaquah Transit Center.

Route 331 will have a change to the route; it will be extended to continue past Kenmore to UW Bothell, replacing some service of the deleted Route 372.

  • Starting September 2, the following changes will happen for the Lakeside School routes.
  • All Lakeside routes will start to use the new stop on 1st Avenue NE to drop-off and board students.
  • The PM trip for Route 982 will now start on 1st Avenue NE at stop #81294 and will not serve 25th Avenue NE & NE 80th Street (Stop #25798) or NE 125th St and 15th Avenue NE (Stop #35270)
  • Route 987 will be extended to Westwood Village instead of South Cloverdale and 12th Avenue S.
  • The PM trip for Route 988 will no longer serve Shoreline South Station or Roosevelt Station. It will also no longer serve 23rd Ave & E Republican or MLK Jr Way & E Olive Way for the AM and PM trip.

The A Line will increase overnight frequency to every 30 minutes.

Deleted or replaced routes

Many deleted routes have service replaced by new or revised routes listed above. Information about replacement service is included for each route.

Route 162 will be deleted; riders may use Sounder S Line or Routes 150 and 168 as alternatives.

Route 165 will be deleted and replaced by new Routes 164 and 166.

Route 177 will be deleted. Riders may use Routes 182, Sound Transit Route 577 or 578, DART Route 903, or the Sound Transit Link 1 Line as alternatives.

Route 208 will be deleted; riders can use new Route 215 for service between North Bend and Issaquah Highlands, and Sound Transit Route 556 for service between Issaquah Highlands and Issaquah Transit Center as alternatives.

Route 212 will be deleted; riders may use Sound Transit Link 2 Line and Routes 215, 218, 226, 269 or Sound Transit Route 556 as alternatives.

Route 271 will be deleted. Replacement service will be provided by new Route 70 between Bellevue and the University District; by Sound Transit Route 556 between Issaquah Transit Center, Eastgate, and downtown Bellevue, or between Issaquah Highlands and Issaquah Transit Center; by Route 203 between Issaquah and Eastgate via Newport Way; and by DART Route 249 between downtown Bellevue and Medina.

Route 372 will be deleted. Replacement service will be provided by Sound Transit Route 522 between Lake City at NE 145th St and UW Bothell; by Route 331 between Lake Forest Park and Bothell; by Routes 72 or 77 between Lake City Way NE and Lake City at NE 125th Street; and by peak-only Route 322 between Lake City Way NE at NE Northgate Way.

DART Route 901 will be deleted and replaced by new DART Route 902.
